Details

Text messages are a popular medium of communication between businesses and their customers. Messaging on receipts, SMS and e-mail are often the most direct way corporations can communicate with their customers about their current offerings, and understanding how to do this effectively can have large impacts on business outcomes. This talk will discuss how organizations design, implement, and evaluate experiments with text messages to maximize business impact.

This discussion will go over experimental designs, business metrics used, and analytical challenges involved with implementing large experiments at scale.

Topics covered will include:

- Randomization

- Channel type

- Power Calculations

- Evaluations

Experimental design for important outcomes at scale is critically important for many corporations, and this talk is designed to give you a first hand look at how it's done in practice.
